We are a Romanian amateur theatre club set up in March 2009 and based in Luxembourg. We are affiliated to the Cultural association of the European institutions in Luxembourg (Cercle culturel des institutions européennes). The membres of our club are officials working in several European institutions (mainly in the European Commission and the European Parliament).
On 22 April 2010, our theatre club performed their first show, ”O noapte furtunoasă” (A stormy night), a play by I.L. Caragiale, who is considered to be the best Romanian playwright. Click here to see the poster of this show.
The story of this play is centered around a love triangle. Dumitrache, a wealthy and jealous businessman, who is also the head of the local civil guard, loves his wife Veta but she falls inlove with her husband's assistant, Chiriac. When Rica, a young journalist studying law, who is inlove with Veta's sister (Zita), comes by mistake to Dumitrache's house to meet Zita, the intricacies of the relationship between Chiriac and Veta are nearly revealed.

The second play we prepared, ”O scrisoare pierdută” (A lost letter), was performed on 28 and 29 March 2012. The play is by the same Romanian author (I.L. Caragiale) and it is seen as his masterpiece.
Caragiale wrote ”O scrisoare pierdută” (A Lost Letter) in 1884. This play is a comic satire about political corruption, which explores the victory of a blackmailer in a provincial government election. Like Caragiale's other important plays, A Lost Letter features a love triangle.
